Windows 7 : How to Hide Entire Computer Hard Drive

19:37

You might see in the cyber cafes, schools or colleges that only C:/ drive is visible in which the system is installed and other hard drives are not visible. It's always not like they haven't created partitions of the main drive but rather they want to hide other drives which might contain sensitive information of the college etc. They do this to prevent sensitive information getting leaked. If you like you can hide your entire hardisks to keep a check on private stuff being seen by others like your family members etc.

This post will show you how to do it:
 > Type gpedit.msc in run box and press enter. You will see Local Group Policy Editor window opens. On the left hand side bar navigate to User Configurations > Administrative templates > Windows Components > Windows Explorer.
> Double click on Windows Explorer on the right hand side, in settings Double click on "Hide these specified drives in my computer"
Local Group Policy Editor

In the Window that appears Select enabled radio box , then in the options box select "Restrict all drives" or other options as you like. And click Apply button.
